As a Four Star author and an award winning poet, Shannon's story includes how incredibly imaginative and passionate she is about writing, and gives the term "ghost writer" a whole new meaning. She also has a particular fondness for writing children's stories. Like most poets & writers, Shannon's drive lies in the pursuit of perfecting her stories before sharing them. Shannon's fearless enthusiasm for her craft, along with the "gifts from Kirby" are responsible for guiding her through the creative, challenging, and competitive world of literature.
As a ghost whisperer, Shannon discovered her abilities at the age of eleven when her Great-Grandfather passed away and she was still able to communicate with him. Then as she got older, she came to accept and understand her abilities as a psychic medium. Shannon is able to sense when someplace is haunted, as well as see, hear, smell, feel, and speak to spirits. Sometimes she is even able to see through their eyes. Even rarer is her ability to channel a spirit so it is actually communicating through Shannon and just not giving her information to interpret.
As a clairvoyant, Shannon has also, on occasion, shown the ability to foresee future events to help give guidance to those who feel lost or uncertain about their future. Shannon used to do readings for individuals, families, and group events. She also did readings for homes and businesses that were suspected to be haunted. Unfortunately Shannon suffers from several acute and chronic health conditions that have worsened over the years making it more difficult to help people. Because of this, Shannon has permanently discontinued doing readings.
